Ada Amon is a senior associate of E3G - Third Generation Environmentalism since June 2015. E3G is ranked fifth on the environmental think tank list. Ada's original focus area is energy efficiency policy development and she is in charge of developing the regional programs for Central and Eastern Europe and Western Balkan. 

In the past she worked as a consultant for the London-based International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC) and as the energy coordinator of CEE Bankwatch. She was the initiator or/and board member of many energy and climate related international programmes and cooperation. Under her supervision thorough researches were carried out from the modelling of the economic impact of a massive energy efficiency support scheme, through the design of a new permitting system of renewable investments or the corruption risk of a new nuclear project till the alternative energy scenario for Hungary. She was the co-author of many international, jointly produced and individually signed publications and article. 

For most of her professional carrier she’s been the director of the Budapest based ENERGIAKLUB Climate Policy Institute and Applied Communication (1998-2015). She was also involved heavily in the establishment of the Hungarian Energy Efficiency Institute (2011). Thanks to many years of devoted work, both of these organisations are regarded as highly competent experts within their own fields of activities not only in Hungary.

She was listed on the most influential Hungarian women in 2015 by Forbes (public figure section) and also listed as brave woman among the top 5 by WMN.hu.

She is a qualified economist.
